Refund & Cancellation Policy
The clearest version we can write of who gets what back, when. Including the case where your land turns out not to work — which is the one you should read first.

The short version
If our feasibility study finds your lot cannot be permitted for a modular residence,you get all $3,000 back within 10 business days and you keep the report.If your building department later refuses a permit anyway, your contract terminates and you are refunded in full less capped design costs. We would rather refund you at week three than argue with you at month six.
1. The $3,000 reservation fee

| Your 45-day reservation expires with no decision | $1,500 refunded on the same basis. Your production slot is released. |
2. After the purchase contract is signed

| You cancel before production starts | Refund of everything paid, less design, engineering and slot-hold costs, capped at the percentage of contract price stated in your contract. |
| You cancel after production has started | Refund less costs actually incurred and non-recoverable materials, evidenced to you in writing. |
| You cancel after your home has shipped | No refund. You may resell the unit and we will help at cost. |
| A duty or tariff change exceeds 8% of contract price | Either party may terminate. Full refund of everything paid. |
| We cancel, or fail to deliver | Full refund of everything paid within 20 business days, plus the delay credit below. |
3. If we are late
More than 21 days past your confirmed delivery window, for reasons that are not your site, your permit or force majeure: a daily delay credit against your balance at the rate stated in your contract, capped at 3% of contract price. Beyond 90 days late, you may terminate and take a full refund.
4. How refunds are made
To the account the payment came from, by bank transfer, within the period stated above, in US dollars. We do not deduct bank charges from refunds. Where funds are in escrow, release is instructed to the escrow agent on the same day we approve the refund.
5. How to ask for one
Email contact@containaura.com with your contract or reservation reference. We acknowledge within 2 business days and tell you the amount and the date within 5. If we disagree with your claim, we will say so in writing with reasons, and clause 17 of the Terms of Sale covers what happens next.
6. Cooling-off rights
Several US states give you a statutory right to cancel certain contracts — a home solicitation contract signed away from the seller's usual place of business, for example — within three business days, whatever the contract says. Where that right applies to you, the notice explaining it and the cancellation form are supplied with the contract itself, and the right stands regardless of anything on this page.
