Your contract is with the US entity. Your home is manufactured at our facility in China and imported by us, which means we — not you — handle customs entry, duty and tariffs on DDP orders.
Why we say this so plainly
We are asking Americans to commit a large sum to a company whose factory is on the other side of the world. That is a reasonable thing to be cautious about, and the container home market has given buyers good reason to be. Our answer is not to sound more confident. It is to be checkable:
An entity you can look up
A California LLC, with the state registry linked above. Ask us for the filed certificate before you pay anything — and check it there yourself.
Money you keep control of
Milestone payments held in escrow and released against evidence. A final 8% stays with you until your home is standing on your land.
Inspection by someone who is not us
An independent inspector examines your home before it ships, and you have to accept their report before it moves.
Proof, not adjectives
Our verification page says exactly which credentials we have published and which we have not. Nothing on it is decoration.
Visiting us
We are based in Los Angeles, California, United States. Viewings are by appointment rather than drop-in, so that someone who knows the product is there when you arrive. Email contact@containaura.com or call +1 479-581-4872 and we will confirm the address and a time.
We do not list permanent public showrooms here. When a location has a street address, published opening hours and a local number that a person answers, it will appear on this page — and not before.
How we build
Every home is built indoors at a single facility, which is why our tolerances and schedules hold. Containers are procured, sandblasted and primed with marine-grade anti-corrosive coating. Openings are cut with plasma tooling and reinforced with engineered C-channel and tube steel designed by structural engineers and stamped for your state. Interiors are framed, wired, plumbed, insulated with continuous closed-cell spray foam, then finished with cabinetry, tiling and flooring.
A factory-built home needs third-party plan review and in-plant inspection before it can carry the modular insignia your state requires. Which of those approvals we have published, and which we have not yet, is set out plainly on the verification page. Read it before you commit to anything.
People
We are a small team, and we would rather introduce you to the person who will actually handle your project than publish a page of photographs. Ask on your first call who your point of contact is, what they have built before, and who covers for them when they are away. You will get a straight answer with names in it, and those names will be on your contract.
